I've got a problem that seems like periodic bad reception of several FM stations but only when the car is moving. When I fixed the mast I unscrewed the antenna connection to the motor housing but there is also what looks like a plugin joint in the antenna cable and I remember trying to unplug it but it didn't want to come apart. Is this connection supposed to come apart or by pulling on it did I mess it up and cause this condition?
I've installed a new head unit because the cd player died on my old one and the new unit still has the reception problem. I've soldered all the new connections so thats all good and when the reception blinks out its to all speakers so I know its not just one of those. When the signal is lost its just for a split second but certainly enough to be noticeable.
