Hey, good to see you made it home Kendall. Soon you'll be rested enough to reinstate your guru-ness.

seems like with 3 seperate threads with a similar theme that we could get some solid input on the durability from Bruce and address some concerns about the converter

the timing kinda sucks since Bruce is out of town this week and cant join in...Bruce is a great guy and if there is a problem he would surely fix it.

Jeez Kendall...guess I never looked at pics of the car in progress. Gonna be a KILLER car. Plus yer a man of my own heart...car parts on the kitchen counter? Yea baby!!! Guess thats where our flip wives are different. Mine would castrate me!! Why the FWD lower timing cover? You like those gerotor oil pumps better?

Good luck with it dude, cant wait till its running!

I'm running a 9/11 in my car and did go slightly quicker than 11.0s at the Nats. It's the first outing since rebuilding the original trans and installing the 9/11. I locked the converter manually on the line so it locks up at the 1-2 shift. I've got 15-20 passes on it right now and it seems to be working great. The best I'd done on the stock trans and converter with 26" tires was 11.2's at 120. The only changes made to the car from the 11.2 combo was the trans rebuild, 9/11 converter, 28" tires, and Red's new MAF sensor he's developing. I'm not sure how durable the lockup will be, but so far it's firm and holding up well. On a side note, the stall speed is higher than expected. I ordered 3000-3200 but at 15 psi on the line it stalled around 4500. I know I've got a free stall change that I could use, but since it's running so good I don't think I'll touch it. The current combo and times are in the sig.

10.30 @ 131 not locked up ,with 9-11 conv. easy pass 20 psi , should fly @28 psi. the whole trans is at pts right now for the billet upgrades

Hey bro, the kitchen counter and table are my studio! Let's not talk about castration and bad tempered Filipinas..I'll be afraid to go home tonight. :D

I like the volume and pressure potential of the gerotor design, plus the fact that it runs directly from the crank instead of the cam is a plus. I have some more work to do to get that thing sorted out though.

I hope you'll see the car at Bristol. If so, it'll be ugly, won't have an interior, and probably have a sticker on the rear window that says "Used Up Junk" or something like that. I bought most of the fuel system parts for it this past week at the Nats; now I just need to get time to bolt stuff together.

Hope to see ya there!

No, I didn't shift into OD with the 26s. It was going through the traps at 54-5500....way past the stock cam's capability. From the 1000' mark on, you were just along for the ride. That's the reason I went to the 28s. Now I'm turning 5-5100 through the traps.
