If so, are you happy with it? what kind of times are you getting?, what is your combo? Just curious I have one on the way.

If you want it to work better. Try to find yourself a Garrett .82 Exhaust Housing. The PTE .85 is too big an wit will kill your bottom end.
It worked very well in my 109
Mild Roller
9" AC 3500
A weapon on spool

I went a little bigger...

A buddy has one on a stock bottom end with TRW pistons. GN1 heads, FAST system etc. Full weight car went 6.25 at 111 in the 1/8 on the P-trim...it has the Precision .85 a/r

I've had an LT70 P-trim with 0.82 A/R for 10 years. It's now in my street beater with ported stock heads, roller, V2, steel centers, AC16930. In >5000' d.a., it has run 10.90 @ 125, easy launch. Before that (1997), the same turbo was used in a Stage 1 engine on my other car, running 10.39 @ 130 again at elevation. That was with unported first-generation GN1s (well, they promptly ported themselves).

Look up Bird on this board. He ran 10.01@ 137mph in a full weight GN with working AC (true street car). I have that same turbo forsale with 3 bolt exhaust housing in excellent condition. Pm me if your interested. Great around turbo street/strip.

I run a p-trim 70 with a .63 housing, I run mostly bracket racing and went with the smaller housing for better spoolup

I also use a P trim 70 with .63 on the turbine. I do have a .85 Precision that I will try very soon.

thanks for the info guys. I have a 70 p=trim on the way, but it has been back ordered.

this is making me wet, seriously i'll admit it. Car is far from being done but those are the same parts I have :)

This was at 26# of boost. He ports heads so the GN1's have been ported and flowed very well. Rest of the combo is a 212/206 roller, stock headers, PTC converter, all stock suspension with only ATR sway bar, 60 foot was a 1.41 but it goes 1.44-1.46 consistently and run 6.30's every pass. This was a 6.70 car, we went to the T-350 with transbrake for better launches and when I got the FAST system right it knocked .4 off of it. We were shocked.

That's what I wanted to hear about the FAST system.

.63 or .85 turbine

i just installed a 4l80e in my gn. the first gear is 2.48 compared to the 200's 2.74, i've got a .63 housing on it now (pt70 ptrim), do you think that i would gain from the .85 turbine housing? car has champion gn1's, 212-212 flat tappet cam, 75lb injectors, big stuff3 etc. wondering where it starts to help the most, all top end power mainly or good midrange with the .85 housing?.

Scott Att went 9.79 @ 138mph with the .63 housing. You would pick up another mph with the .81 housing. The 212/212 flat tappet cam is gonna be the bottleneck of truely getting what your combo is capable of. If you can get that same cam in a hyd roller then you would be cooking with grease. Good luck. Let us know how she works out for you.

roller cam

do you think you gain that much from the roller cam versus the flat tappet? the heads are getting beehives and titanium retainers- the side effects of the roller lifters is the added weight so rpm gains probably are negligable over the flat tappet- i can't see that much loss in friction or ramp design-maybe i'm wrong.

pt70 ptrim

not trying to hijack the post, just curious also what hp levels and et's this turbo is capable of. will probably switch out to roller cam next season if i don't get the results i'm after.

I've done a best of 107mph in the 8th mile with a 10 year old 70 P-trim with a .85 housing. This was with ported iron heads and ported stock intake. I still have this turbo on my car today but I've ordered a DBB 70GTQ with a .85 housing to replace this one.
