i've been up a couple times this year to watch... i couldn't believe how few cars were there both wed and fri nites. anytime i've been there to race all the staging lanes were full and i've only been able to get like 2 or 3 runs in, this year i havent seen more than like 20 or 30 cars at a time. did drag racing go out of style? i'll have my t running in the next couple weeks and will hopefully make it up there for the cool weather for some hard launch practice (no cage)

Didn't bring my T, but I was there with my Mustang this past Friday and was able to get 5 runs in. Not too crazy. I was surprised there weren't more cars there.

Was that the notchback or the Cobra ?

What did you pull for times?

I brought the notch down. It was very hot and traction was a complete joke as people kept driving through the water box in front of me. Was only able to go 12.2 @ 121mph. Was hoping for mid 11's. O well. Maybe next time. Car routinely traps at 125, so mid to low 11's is entirely possible. I was running on some very worn Mickey Thompson ET Streets. I know....excuses excuses.

I was there last friday night (Tasca Ford weekend) with my dd, 2010 Altima. I ran right after that white mustang oiled the track. I slipped all round even with fwd. That was it for me. The next time we go up I'll put a post out.

cliff notes answer yes I hope to...

long version.....

I hope to get down there at least once or twice this fall as the weather cools , maybe once or twice with one of my budget beater buicks I have added to my collection and once with an ls1 6 speed hardtop camaro I got back in april , stock internals car with full bolt ons and costom OS/speed density , previous owner made 3 passes with it 11.95/11.99/11.96 in that order street tires through the mufflers on a cool night so I will want to go on a cool night to see if I can also get it to crack 11's

temp wont matter much if I bring a $500 buick since I will spray the living crap out of it like I used to with my silver gtp , guy on the fwd regal forum just went 11.92 with a car he paid $400 for with under $400 in mods , yes grand total of $800 in car so I am thinking of gutting one like he did and raise some hell with it

V8Killer told me you got the silver one back.:)

just saw this posted on another local forum , silver car we are referring to in this thread jack made it to NED tonight...

GTP Nitrous Run - YouTube

not bad considering he is only hitting it with about 1/3 the spray I hit it with lol

Nice! Too bad it's so tuff to get a fwd to launch, it would be much quicker. He almost caught that Camaro. That was impressive.

12.2 is respectable, but those trap speeds definetly say low 11's, or high tens at the 125 mph.

Car is definately pretty quick. Problem for me is traction. I just ordered some new MT ET Streets and installed an Eibach drag launch kit, so that should help get me into the 11's. If I am brave enough, I'll throw on some slicks and get it into the 10's.
