I'm talking with a company now that we were trying to develop a reasonable price reproduction rear package tray. This is basicly the ideas & prices they are coming up with. Card board only 99.99% original, like in the 84 Gn's. Correct color would retail for about $90.00. 85-7 carpeted in the correct material would retail about $120.00.
The bottom line is it cost a good bit of $ to develop these items.I would rather direct in a different direction if the majority feel that a rear package tray which is prone to fading & cracking is something they would not want to replace over another item.
Honest feed back is what we are looking for.If you would be in the market in the next few months let us know.If not also let us know.

Forgive my ignorance, but just what is a rear package tray?

It sounds like a trunk carpet kit or somethin that is part of it?

Believe he's talking about the board that's carpeted (at least on my '87 it is) that is between the rear seat and the rear window. Speakers are under it, 3rd brake light is on it.

Ah ha! Now I understand. If this is in fact what Brian is talking about, then yes, that price sounds good. I will have to pick one up when I get the rest of my interior. It will be a good addition with the seat covers, carpet, headliner, door panels, etc...
Good grief, the money spending never stops. But it will be so nice when I am done!

That is it. The carpeted rear area where the 3rd brake light is mounted.
