Steve from Pats convertors called & asked me to post this. Apparently some one shipped a convertor with trans fluid & trashed the box. UPS repackaged it & sent it to an incorrect address in Yukon Oklahoma.

It had his packaging so they contacted Steve. It is a used convertor not new.

Shipping date is @ 12/15 from Desmoines Iowa.
Just trying to help some one out & I figured it had to be at least 1 person on this board. If not UPS will pick it back up & end up back in a warehouse some place.
We ran tracking #'s but doesn't give the shipped from address.

Call Steve at Pat's if you are the shipper or were suppose to receive a convertor.

Oooops....I'm sure UPS appreciated tranny fluid all over the place.

Brian, thats got to be mine. I've been waiting on the one i purchased from board member "MUSTGOFASTER". I just emailed him last night wondering where it was. It was a 3200 Pats Lock Up.

Home Depot or any hardware sells a 1-1/2" Fernco cap that will work great to seal up the converter when you ship to avoid any issues like this.

Well, hopefully I hear something back. I dont even have a tracking number.

Keep in mind anyone who ships a converter could stop by a local trans shop and pick up a converter snout cover/boot and can tape it up to keep the fluid from flooding out in case of the box being tipped over.

Thats how I shipped my last converter. Hopefully this guy did the same but it doesnt sound like it. We'll see what the outcome is!

Should always wrap it in PLASTIC bag a few times & double box them. I worked with the gorrillas at UPS

Jeremy I'm sorry I didn't get back with you yesterday. We were pretty busy. Contact the seller & have him call Steve at Pats convertor. He has more info then I do like where it is located. I didn't want to post personal info.

Make sure & thank Steve. He spent alot of his business time on getting this worked out for you.

As far as packing a used convertor We have Drained them, capped them, & double bagged them & still had them leak during transit. You do what you can do. But trust me shipping packages this time of year they go thru alot of abuse.

I know where your converter is at. I just had a UPS truck cut a serious light next to me. Pulled the front wheel I think. He left at least with 3500 rpms.:D
