Guys, when i first start the car in the AM, and take off the street it will chirp tires at half throttle but after the car warms up it settles down and shifts smoothly. Is this normal for our transes or is it slipping after it warms up? The RPMs dont increase during shifts. Time for a shift kit perhaps? Slipping converter??

It also seems weird that sometimes when i accellerate, i can hold the throttle at the same level and the car will speed up without the tach moving. Seems kinda like slippage.

I just wanted to make sure everything is fine before I start on my suspension :)

Thanks guys - Evan

I would tighten up accumulater and change fluid. Maybe twice on the fluid. After that add a quart of motor oil to trans. Think I am kidding? watch what happens.
Try it , bet it helps...

It will thickin the viscosity a tad. And it will help lubrication.

my transmission does the same thing. when it gets really hot driving around town for a while, it will still chirp the tires if i get into it, but its not as firm and slips a little. how do i tighten the acumulator? i will change my fluid and add a quart of motor oil as well. what about that lucas stop slip stuff? its pretty thick too, sounds like it does the same thing as motor oil. what weight motor oil do i use too. 30 weight or what?
thanks
