When I strap a brain bucket on in my 87GN, my head hits the roof :( I don't have a power seat and wondered if they will sit lower than a manual? I have to recline the seat back and it's not the most comfortable. Anybody else find this?

I'm between 6'2 and 6'3 and have never noticed hitting the top of the car

Hardtop with manual seats BTW

EDIT: I guess you were talking about racing with a helmet...I've actually never tried that

Well I'm better than 6'4" and with a helmet on I have to slide the shade back on my astro-roof for an extra inch of head room. I had to lay the seat way back when I had the lear seats in the car and was very uncomfortable to drive. I switched to a tenso race seat and had to custom fab some brackets to drop the seat. Still pretty tight, but it's better than my 98 SS. It was really hard to rip gears with my size 15's. Not a whole lot of room in the footwell.

Steve

I'm 6'5" and have power seats. I guess I must just be tall from the waist down because I haven't had any problems.

6'3" here. I have a power seat which does sit higher than a manual. I'm lucky to have a t-top car so the helmet has clearance. Had a power seat hard top car that gave me that problem though.

6'3", T-Tops, power seats and sometime my head hit the top with helmet. My drivers seat compared to a friends car does't go back as far on the track:confused:

Yep...

One of my ex wives had that problem in my GN....:(
She was only 5'7" tall, but her fat azz jacked her head into the headliner... :p :D

Tall Dude

I,m 6 foot 6 inches tall. I know non-powerseat sits lower. Have tried both.

I heard a set of seat tracks from a Fiero will fit our seats. Drops the seat all the way to the floor. I picked up a set but have not put them on yet. Maybe someone else posted about this option ?

Head hits headliner

My old GN before she got stolen by the 18th st. gang had T-Tops and my pompador just smugged the glass a little. Our replacement GN is a HDTP and had adj.elec. driver seat and my head hit the headliner and messed up the do. Put aftermarkket seats and my pompador still leaves a grease spot on the headliner. Interior looks great except you can tell a tall beaner must drive the car because of the grease spot. Will probably have some one modify seat bracket so the driver seat will sit almost flat on the floor pan. Then I'll get a new liner as it is noticeable.

Seat Brackets

I Too Would Be Interested To Know If Fiero Brackets Would Lower Seat

I hope the fiero tracks let it go back a little further, as that would be my biggest complaint. 6'2", and my hair hits the top(not too much left either, but not bald)
