Hey guys,

I am in need of a original mass air flow sensor for my 87 gn. GM has them with different part numbers but i think that they look slightly different. The switch is located on the side of the sensor rather than the original has it on the side as well but to the bottom. Can any confirm this? I am thinking about buying a new refurbished one from kirban. Has anyone had any problems with kirbans. What do you guys think?

Thanks

Michael

Hi there and thank you for replying. Is kirbans original? Is there any part number on them? Does GM have them in stock? They claim that they do but different part # and i think that the terminal plug is on the side and is different.
Please let me know. Other input is welcome!!!

Thank you

Michael

I get mine from local auto parts stores, mainly Advance Auto. I've had to get more than one because they seem to be hard to get a good one. I've got both the stock type bottom plug sensors and the side plug sensors and both were a hit and miss kind of thing. I believe both were marked with GM stickers. I finally got one that has worked for a year or more now and it has the stock type bottom plug.

GM has them but with a different part number. Does that mean that they are with the side plug or the stock bottom plug. Anyone?

Thank you

Michael
