anybody have brake cable probs!!?

anybody ever have your brake cables wear almost through from friction on the control arms??noticed a lurching sound from rear when car hits second gear at part throttle....crawled underneeth and noticed both side cables were worn halfway through,wire tied them up now sound and lurch gone>>>>by the way new member here<<<car is a heavy hitter with a stock rear,only airbag and snubber....thanks

Brake Cables

Was under mine yesterday, changing out the rear sway bar. Put on a one inch bar from PST. Noticed that the passenger side cable had rubbed through the rubber sleeve, but not through the cable itself. Drivers side was not rubbing. Car has 175,00- miles.
