There has been many fitment and internal oil flow problems with aftermarket timing covers over the past few years.

I personally had had many problems with them as these are made off-shore, and may not be machined to proper tolerances. Some were so bad the crank sensor would not fit in place due to mis-alignment.

The new Buick V-6 timing cover from TA Performance is machined in-house to closer tolerances than stock, and is the best piece available ever. :)

Why take a chance on a questionable product to save a few $$$ on such an important part for your expensive engine?

Thanks Nick, yep read about all the "horror stories" with regards to alignment etc.

Looked at TA's site and all it says it's not "theirs" front covers and does not mention anything about them machining them in house etc. So do they manufacture (cast and machine) the timing covers these days?

Yes, they do the CNC machining in-house as they have with done the Buick V-8 timing cover for many years. Like all the TA casting parts, heads, intakes, etc, these are made at a foundry to their requirements.

The ones I have installed and sold to customers, all report better oil pressure. :)

This is no surprise as TA has made significant internal changes to improve oil flow.
