You are right about that Chris, that happened alot (and still does), cant please everyone.

I have gotten along great with nearly every board owner.

Cal, your suppose to get along with almost everyone.......your a vendor.

I post on all 3 boards and always have so I am not part of whoever you are trying to attack. But in my experience, you are part of the problem not part of the solution. Unless your goal is to keep a small community even more in turmoil and further seperated by continuing to drag up trouble from years ago. Then you are right on track.
It may be time for you to grow up, forgive other's mistakes as I am sure they have had to forgive yours, and try to bring our Buick community together and make is stronger rather than tear it apart and keep it seperated. At least that is my .02

I am the same person on all the Buick Boards..I just feel more comfortable on TBS.com you can search all my threads and I have not once flamed this board, but I guess I am one of those jerks...yet another reason I choose not to post here and probally wont bother to visit anymore either...

Your statement in the quote above "I have not once flamed this board," is true (an Iam sure it is) then you would not fall in ChrisCairns group of "jerks" & "hypocrites". So dont stop visiting or posting @ TB.com.

Hold up a second chief, first lets clear up the comment regarding Mike S. and the "other" board. That board has been around for several years and had nothing to do with the problem with this one being down. It is my understanding that Mike saw an opportunity for another board and that is why it was started. Don't bust his balls for giving folks a VERY open forum to talk about most anything, he is one of the most level headed owners I have met. Regarding the members there, they may not be perfect but they are open and honest about who they are and how they feel. You may look at it as the "looney bin" of the Buick world but I have found them to be a decent group of individuals who are willing to take a stand and stick to it when something is not right

I like to add that when TBS came to the net it was the best thing to happen in the Internet Buick community, TBS allowed Buick owners a way to get answers, Answers that would otherwise get deleted by Admins and mods from other Buick boards that should not have been deleted.
I take my hat off to TBS.com for allowing and sticking to the "No Thread Gets Deleted Here" additude.

I came back after hearing that things had changed and were much better than they had been and indeed they have and I certainly commend the administration for doing a wonderful job.

Thank you for coming back and thanks for noticing the changes that me , Joe (gofstbuick) and Geoff have made. (we still cant make everyone happy ... but we will keep trying)

Most people bailed (myself included)when this board was first taken over because it became overly censured, that is it. I will conceed that some comments were made that were both over the top and uncalled for but I didn't make them nor can I appologize on behalf of everyone else. Because most of us are the same friends on all the boards. We are all concerned when things are not going right for our friends and we rejoice in their successes and accomplishments. There will always be a place for the boards to exist and for you to go to to talk with friends. Of course we always want you to hang out here most of the time

Just thought I would add there are more than 2 boards! There are actually 5 or 6 if you get right down to it. Each one has their own personalities and followers that seem dedicated to their "home" site! Personally I don't feel there is anything wrong with that. I visit ALL the boards as I always have. I may not post on them but I read all of them. Nothing has changed since I bought T6P, why should it. I actually have posted more over here since then.

I have quickly come to realize that this is a very small communitty and seems to be shrinking all the time. There will probably never be just 1 board, people have different tastes and personalities that sometime just clash. That is life :tongue:

My goal with T6P is to try to make it as user friendly as possible with all the best features for our members and give them an fair and open venue to discuss the one thing that connects us all, the love of BUICKS!

A "nothing" gets deleted policy is what we are striving for as well. BUT, If something is posted in a non-vendor paid for forum it STAYS! Where as the vendor forums are just that "vendor forums", paid for, and controlled by them. If someone doesn't want a post deleted don't post in the vendor forum. Everything else stays! That is simple cut and dry IMO!

Jay Carter has been in the TR buick game since day 1! Alot of the newer guys have probably never heard of him but Jay broung alot of new ideas to us and has given alot of behind the scenes help to this community! Do a search here and on gnttype.org on him. Things like alcohol and propane injection, excellent chips and tunes, better headgaskets, etc........ He even started T6P!
Just wait and see what we have in store for TR's coming soon...........

My point is, there is a wealth of knowledge out there and we should all be happy there are these boards to learn about these things. People should be able to post on all the boards without being fear of getting ripped!

I stand by my previous statement. He is extremly biased against anyone who he doesn't agree with. He has no sense of "fair" moderation. He allows some(Red,Skylark etc.) carte blanc when it comes to posting whatever they choose yet when someone responds to their namecalling and hate then they get banned by the wannabe for a "supposed" rule infraction.

That is your opinion, for which you are entitled to, but what is really going to matter at this juncture is the assessment of TB.com admin. Please refrain from turning this into a moderator bashing issue, because this board and all the other similar TR boards have gotten through winter and racing season, without so much as a blip on the radar screen. Jesse and the rest of admin provide you a place to air your political views, but when you get down to the brass tacks, our main goal is to provide an arena to discuss Turbo Regals, TTA, supecharged GM vehicles and Syclones and Typhoons. Personally, I try to refrain from discussing politics with friends or strangers. So your whining will fall on deaf ears, as far as admin is concerned.
The sad part is, I really cannot believe that I just wasted post number 1987 explaining this

Yes, I'm home from the cruise...thanks for asking.

It was one of the best cruises yet, even though the weather in Alaska this time of year was something we aren't used to...rain. But I think it was exactly what is to be expected so late in the season.

I've always liked the Caribbean cruises for the weather, the blood boiling music and the exuberance of the young aboard the ship. This one was more sedate, and since I'm now officially one of the sedate, it matched.

The funniest thing about the Alaska ports of call were that some of the stores/shops were also to be found in the Caribbean and in Mexico. Del Sol, Diamonds International, and Tanzanite International. Methinks they must be large corporations, perhaps owned by one or more cruise lines, since those particular stores are also on Carnival's list of recommended stores.

We saw a ton of whales and seals...just one bald eagle. Cruised into Glacier bay to see the glaciers (duh) and the millions of lil icebergs and icecubes that fall off the glaciers.

Just got home tonight and see my schit is up to date.

I admit I did get this thread off course with my bitching about the other board...my fault. It was originally about the hypocrites who bitched about this board from the other board. Nothing to do with those who simply choose to post on any or all.

So ladies, I've had my say about the hypocrites. I wonder why they don't have the balls to join in here and bitch about Bruce and Jesse now?

I know a guy that bought some very expensive jewelry in one of those shops and upon getting it appraised at a jeweler at home it did not appraise at the amount the "recommended shop" claimed - The cruise line cut a check for the difference!!!

Cool....nice gift.

And for any of you guys who wants the ultimate gift for your wife....take her on a cruise. Especially if she's a stay-at-home-with-the-kids mom. For those moms who make a home with all the meals, bed makin', dusting etc., there is nothing like giving her a week of being pampered.

If you're young take a Caribbean cruise at spring break (if you can afford it, they double the price then) but the fun is astounding. If you can't afford the spring break cruises, hurricane season is the cheapest....lol. Personally I think the value of what you receive far outweighs the price you pay either way. And go Carnival. I've spoken to many many people who cruise on other lines, then switch to Carnival and say the fun factor is so much better.

We take our grown children each year in January and this coming year we'll be taking our latest granddy with us also. That should be different since we'll all have to share in packing diapers, baby food, clothes, stroller, etc....

And if you decide to go ... spend the extra money and get a cabin with a balcony. Nothing quite like stepping out on your balcony in the morning and peeing in the ocean. Except for those whose cabins are below you.
