My girlfriend was arrested in 2003 for stealing some petty stuff from Wall Mart. she is trying to figure out her background situation (she is waiting for a copy of it to come in the mail) she received deferred ajudification but isnt sure if the arrest and conviction will stay on her record or just the the arrest or how that works

If anyone has any knowledge of how this process works it would be greatly appreciated

thanks
Joshua

If she hasn't done anything since she can have it expunged from her record. You need to talk to a lawyer though.

If she was arrested , the adjudication will always show on file. It usually it will list how the case was handled and closed. Alternative program completed, no file ..ect..

As mentioned above, the records can be expunged. This is handled ususally by an Attorney. In Florida is big $$$ and some convictions or files can not be changed.

This will change from State to State but is mostly the same.
