I have the Ultra-Lite gauges now, and I love the look during the day, and the silver looks sweet in our interiors, but they suck big balls at night. I really like the look of the Cobalt series gauges at night, but I wonder if they will look ricey. Damn the full sweep gauges are expensive too...but I would really like to change it up a bit...and I sure as hell can't afford the Nexus systems.

Yes

Boost & Fuel pressure:biggrin:

If they are illuminated during the day are they still easy to read/see? I have mine wired to the fuse panel, but my dimmer switch has been acting up for years, and my dash lights are on constantly...so I need something that will be easy to read during the day, even when illuminated!

Thanks!

They may appear blurry but you can see them very clearly in person, I swear;)
Officer the sign said 45 so did my tach:confused:

i got the 5" tach and arizoniagn's lighter adapter. Havn't installed it yet, but if it looks anything like the ones above I might just have to sell my other gauges so they will all be colt.

dammit, now I have to find my NHRA member card so I can give Jegs a call....hello Cobalts!

The Cobalts are actually too bright at night IMO. I need to get a dimmer for them but seems like I've read that the stock dimmer will not work since it's LED's.

WOW, SWEET LOOKING INTERIOR. THOSE COBALTS DO SEEM TO BE EXTREMLY BRIGHT! HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT THE NEW "MSD" LAZER GAUGES? THEY ARE DIFFERENT AND SEEM PRETTY KOOL..... HAVEN'T SEEN IN PERSON THO. THEY WON BEST NEW INTERIOR ACCESSORY AT SEMA THIS YEAR.

bright is good for me....I love the look of having alot going on! My girlfriend calls my car the spaceship because there is so much stuff lit up at night...

5 Autometer gauges
1 Autometer digital shift system/shift light
1 Scanmaster
1 SMC alky controller
1 Din and half Pioneer CD player with multi color displays
1 radar detector
plus the digital dash lights and lighted switch for amplifiers

no wonder my fuse panel looks like it belongs in a NASA laboratory and I go through batteries every other year!

Im Not Saying Ur Interior Doesn't Look Good. Believe Me, Im Very Jealous..... Im Just A Little Sensitive To Bright Lights. I Cant Even Buy A Dvd Player With Too Bright Of Lights without putting tape over it.....  Interior looks bad ass tho!

Thats an awesome interior. What is the screen for on the console? That would be neat if you could tie that into the powerlogger or directscan and use it as the screen.

If you switch over to all cobalt gages you might need sunglasses. lol:cool:

They are bright! They will dim to a point, try putting a resistor in line with the illumination wire to cut the voltage to the diode.

The screen in the console is the navigation system. It doesn't display high enough resolution to have direct scan on it...480x234....BUT the other screen can actually display WVGA (480p) format, which is 800x480. It could be possible for that one but it will probably be too small also. When I get my F.A.S.T. XFI hooked up I may have to try that and post some pictures.

IMHO THESE ARE STILL THE CLEANEST LOOKING GAUGES YOU CAN BUY. I LIKE THE WAY THEY DISAPPEAR WHEN TURNED OFF. EXTREMLY EXPENSIVE THO. THE GAUGES ARE NOT ALL YOU NEED TO MAKE THEM WORK. YOU STILL NEED THE DEFI-LINK CONTROL UNIT. BUT IF MONEY WAS NO CONCERN IT WOULD BE SWEET TO DECORATE YOUR INTERIOR WITH THESE.

Those were cool! Post some more cool gauges if you guys have links!

THOSES ARE ABOUT AS KOOL AS IT GETS. THOSE ARE THE ONES YOU SEE AT INDOOR CAR SHOWS WITH $125,000.00 SUPRAS...! IM NOT NORMALLY A FAN OF A LOT OF THE RICER TYPE GAUGES BUT THESE ARE AS NICE AS ANY GAUGE YOU SEE IN A NEW LEXUS!

OF COURSE IF YOUR AN AUTOMETER FAN THERE IS THE DPSS BUT I DONT THINK THE VARIETY OF GAUGES IS THERE YET WITH THAT SERIES AND THEY ARE A DIFFERENT TYPE OF GAUGE ANYWAY. FOR CLEAN, CLASSY AND FUNCTIONAL YOU JUST CANT BEAT THE DEFI LINE OF GAUGES. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM ON A STREET CAR. ONLY AT HIGH DOLLAR INDOOR CAR SHOWS IN NY AND PHILI SO YOU KNOW FEW PEOPLE HAVE THEM.

THEY ARE TRICK WHEN THE CAR SHUTS DOWN, THE WHOLE INTERIOR GOES DARK. THEY CYCLE THRU WHEN YOU TURN THEM ON. IT'S VERY IMPRESSIVE. THEY JUST ADDED THE BLUE.

SOME DAY WHEN I DECIDE TO BUILD ANOTHER GN ALL MY GAUGES WILL BE DEFI. IT'S ONE OF THE MOST VISIBLE THINGS ANYONE EVER REMEMBERS ABOUT YOUR INTERIOR. COLBALT IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAUGES THO EVEN IF THEY ARE TOO BRIGHT. YOU CANT COMPLAIN THAT YOU DONT SEE THEM. I WILL SEARCH MY FAVORITES THO AND SEE IF I CANT FIND SOMETHING ELSE.

Also check out the new gauges bm has out....

BMRacing

IIRC I emailed them alittle while ago and they said oil pressure was coming...

I have the Cobalts in a 3 gauge pillar pod on my '86 T. Water temp on top, oil pres. middle and boost gauge on the bottom. They are lit up all the time (didn't hook them into my dimmer circuit) and they really look good at night, although they are pretty bright. I don't think they're too ricey.
