I'm not real sure where to start, but here goes.
My younger brother is into ricers pretty bad, and back in the summer he blew his motor in his Acura. Well, he wanted to get a JDM Type R motor for it and found one on Ebay. The guy had perfect feedback and he won the motor in the auction from a guy with the user name JDMOUTLET. @ $4,500. They sent him the check via certified mail and I belive that it was insured also, but not positive. Here's where it gets good. He won the auction in July, it's now the first of December and still no motor. He has been telling my brother various excuses the whole time like it's been held up in customs, or that it's already been shipped and that sort of thing. As of last week he said it had been shipped and should be here any day, but can't tell us the carrier, tracking number, shipper number or anything. My brother is 18 and a bit gullible and this guy's been stringing him along for nearly 6 months. He finally contacted Ebay and they gave us is info. Now he's turned to me for help. He does have the guys' cell number but the people who answer says he has gone to Japan. Apparently Mr. Fong imports these motors from Japan and sells them over the internet and /or local. My brother has 40 emails back and forth to and from him and has all of them for evidence if needed. I really don't want to post the guys' address but I don't know where else to turn ( so mods if this is not right on my part, please feel free to edit it out ) and this is where I need the BC boy's help. If you know anything about this guy or anything please let me know and if Joe1320 see's this, I need your help too. Thanks and sorry so long. Here's his address:
