Anyone install a drain plug from NAPA?

I bought this drain plug from NAPA and never asked them which way it goes in. The problem is I don't know which side the nylon washer goes on, the inside or outside?
I would like to get this in on Sun. but with NAPA closed I need to rely on you guys for help.
I wish I had a picture of it to explain it better but, the hollow threaded shaft has an integral hex flange which goes thru the hole and a locknut secures it against the pan. The nylon washer either goes against the integral hex on the outside of the pan or on the inside against the locknut and pan wall.

The washer goes on the outside. The nut goes on the inside.

lazaris, are you absolutely sure that is where the nylon washer goes? Just want to be sure before I button it up and fill with fluid. Thank you.

I do mine back-asswards. Mainly because I weld the large piece on the outside of the pan (so it cannot turn when removing the plug) then use the washer (and nut) inside to seal it, because I'm such a lousy welder I can never get a sealed weld.

I'll call NAPA in the morning to confirm but I do like the idea of spot welding the large hex portion to the pan and then put the nylon seal on the inside.
Can I mig weld to these pans? What is the material?

Key is with the washer on the outside, do not torque the nut too tight. It deforms the washer and leaks. Kit looks identical to the B&M. I called B&M once and they said they new of no problems with their specified torque value (bull butter).
