Anyone Into Riding in the Dunes?

This year we decided to do something different for New Years. Loaded up and decided to go to Pismo Beach with the kids and some friends. Feels great to be out here. Just curious if anyone else is into riding at the dunes?

That looks mighty inviting Peter! Wish we had the means to go do something like that some day. Haven't been out to any dunes, but I did drag the 10 and 5 year old out to some cool desert mud caves with some folks from work where we explored a bunch of caves and camped out. It sure is nice to get away from all the traffic and hustle and bustle, huh!?

It's pretty cool. We're very lucky to have some friends that have a 44' toyhauler and a bunch of toys. Now our 10 and 13 year old are asking if we're going to get one, haha. No.

I went to Pismo about 15 years ago.
I rented a slow quad, almost lost my front teeth and hurt my back.
It was awesome!

Dune guy here. Being where I am from I am limited to traveling to little sahara in oklahoma and silver lake sand dunes in michigan. Here is my ride.

It's a 2008. It had a red frame and the plastic that is now black was red before as well. I tore down and powder coated the frame black. I am in the process of tearing this bike apart and putting it back to near stock to sell. No one to go to the dunes with anymore.

That will probably be tonight. There's trucks rolling in this morninv with huge loads of wood. Should be interesting. I'll be sure to take pics amd video.

Ill be there for sure...thats a very busy weekend...bring the camera as there is alot of stuff there that weekend.

No pics.. BUt shes all black buncha chrome. its my own lil dark side till I get a Buick. Its on stock cylinder, mild port job, t5's coolhead 19cc domes. v3's. She rips it up with my 300lb ass on it to.. I dont need that 80hp+ banshee around here. I dont have enough room for this one as it is.. Id love to head out west and get into some dunes...
