I'm looking for a name for my firebird in my sig. I'm looking for an american indian word that has the meaning of a bad storm or evil. I need to try to keep it 8 letters for a personalized tag. it needs to be a cool word, not some lame word. thanx for any input.

I couldn't find anything good, only ones I found was Horucan which is evil wind and Carcajao which is evil sprit, the indians called wolverines that.

I have tried to search the net but I haven't found anything. Carcajao is isn't bad. anyone else have any ideas?

HOW is the only Injun word I know :D

Steve, I figured out who the "Awesome 84" idiot was on the bad guy list. It's the same putz I told you about on Saturday.

speaking Indian

let me ask the wife, she is part indian, and continues to threaten to scalp me,

how about the Fukowie tribe. A little known dwarf tribe that many years ago became lost in the midwest. They wandered aimlessly until they reached the tall grass of what is now Nebraska. Residents of the area heard screams, and saw them jumping up to see their way as they pushed thru the thick vegatation.......hence the name, shortened for obvious reasons, was applied. "Where the f*^k are we"? :D

any tribe, but the word need to sound cool, I'm not going to use some sissy sounding word for the tag.:D

speak injun?

she said WHAT??

or in plain english, No Bueno!

the only terms she thought of were Tlaquepaque
pronounced T la k pa k ( soft T) ( soft a)
its a resort in Sedona,Az
or how about Hualapai (mountain near Kingman,Az) ( named after the Hualapai Indian tribe)
Pronounced wall a pie
sorry not more help, but I just married her ( many moons ago)
never joined any tribe!

good Luck

here is a link to Navajo terms used by the "code talkers" used by the military. You may be able to find something here.

A couple that stood out

CA-LO means shark but they used it for destroyers.

NIL-CHI-TSO - Big Wind

ATSAH - Eagle

NILCHI - Air

This reminds me of all the chinese-symbol tattoos I see on peoples arms these days...I just have to wonder-- unless you have a VERY trusted friend who can actually translate, how would you REALLY know what they mean? what if all these symbols are part of one big practical joke being pulled on us? Maybe those "Strength, Courage, Long Life" symbols you got inked into your skin REALLY mean "I Bone My Mama's Sweaty Armpits On Laundry Day"!
:D

I have a friend who is Cherokee Indian, try contacting him about some Indian translations...
:)

When we were little, we'd play in the house sometimes. My mom would say "Stop running around the house like a wild indian". So, WILD NDN could fit.

Sully thanx for the link.
2 that popped up are NE-TAH / fool them, and SHIL-LOH / quick.

John that's what I was thinking for a user name when I first started building the car, I've even thought about TRBOINJN.

Seeing how it's not, and never will be a street car... What do you need a license plate for??? :D

How about an abbreviation of "Broken Arrow"??
