And it's sporting Keystone Klassics. Been a long time since I saw any of those. Never really liked them but they were big in the day.

Million dollar car.

half million easy...My buddy has a matching # 70 superbird that is a rotisserie build and he paid $225K for it....and drives it on the street a lot....even in this market, $200k for his wouldn't be a stretch... and the dodge is far more rare.

Hooooooooly sh!t! What I'd give for that car....

I have a friend in Tulsa.... I may have to pay a visit to the area soon. Hmmmmm....

Nice. Why can't they still build cool cars like this?????????????
I remember back in the day they were considered to be stupid looking with that big wing alot like the ricers of today. I liked them alot better without the wing or rudder what ever it's purpose was.

That just makes me sick ... all because of taxes. The guy EARNED his $$$ to buy it, but the govt. didnt get enough of their share ... what a bummer ---

I remember when they couldn't GIVE those cars away. Funny looking and tight to fit in a standard garage of the day. Local dealership had a white Superbird that sat on the lot for years. Was a cool time to have your parents shopping for a car. My father wasn't faithful to any brand of car so got to crawl in a 69 Judge, 69 Z28 and Corvette, 69 Roadrunner (drove the salesguy crazy blowing the Meep Meep horn):biggrin:while he was looking at the boring family cars. Ended up buying a 69 Sport Fury with the all powerful 318 2 barrel.

Wonder if that Daytona really has just 428 miles???? Easy million dollar car at one of the big auction houses. If the IRS was smart that is what they would do. Guy that owned the car probably could have sold the car himself to get out of his financial jam and have $$$ left over. Wonder what the real story is behind this??

I believe a Hemi Cuda went for a cool million about 3/4 years ago at Barrett Jackson. I could see that going for close.

Nice! In the real early 90's I bought a new set of Keystone Classics for my '73 Monte. Loved them. They were my "summer rims" while my Rally Rims were for winter. Looking back...man...was I am idiot.

took the words out of my mouth !! I test drove a new 69 Boss 429 (leftover) and a new 70 Mustang Mach 1 Cobra Jet .. The 428 would destroy the Boss !! I bought the 428 on Halloween in 69.. The "closeline spoiler" cars were a joke !! If people only knew

look closely at the pic of the speedo- the numbers in the odometer don't line up.. that is a red flag that the odometer has either rolled over at least once or been set back. maybe it's been 428 miles since the restoration..

That is weird that the zeros don't line up.

Pretty neat car!

Maybe I missed it in the text but where does it say the 428 miles are original? If they are original I am surprised that the show board in the bottom picture does not mention it. Perhaps the car has 428 miles since the restoration was done?

If I was trying to fake the mileage, I would make it perfectly aligned. Those digits never lined up perfectly!
