as opposed to the up-pipe. Just seems like it would be more out of the way with the same result.
Any thoughts?

TIA

I've got two SMC nozzles in the outlet neck of my Mark Jackson 17 row IC on my WE4. I was going for a stealthier look! However, Steve (SMC) and I thought that there may be a need for an inline checkvalve since the nozzles would be below the reservoir level. This proved unnecessary as my pump with built in check valve is mounted even lower than the nozzles (DIY kit).

Jay, what pump are you using? I have the ShurFlo on my DIY kit and it supposedly has a check valve in it but I still had a siphoning problem with mine, that's why I installed the alky solenoid right before the nozzle going into the IC. Nothing worse than removing you IC and hearing sloshing inside and it has a bunch of alcohol in it.

Hi Mark,

I have the "Ford" Walbro pump. Seems to be fine. My pump is mounted about 6-8" lower than the nozzles, too... maybe that helps?

I always wondered if under high vacuum conditions if alky could be pulled thru the pump and into the motor?
