Anyone near South East Iowa know where I can buy Methanol?

I live in Mt Pleasant Iowa and need to find a place to buy methanol for my Alky injection. I'm willing to travel a way's if I have to. I'd like to get a 55 gallon drum.

Just swapped to E85 a couple weeks ago.

Well I just got off the phone with Eric at TT and he looked up my current set up. He doesn't think that I should make any changes yet. He said my current set up will do a mid 11 maybe a bit better with my injectors. He said a new chip and 60# injectors won't change that. He wants me to go run the car, tune the car and see if I'm happy. If not them get my wallet out and set the car up for a 10 second pass. He also told me that no matter what turbo I put on my combo I'll still need 25 # of boost to run 10's. I respect that advice because the man could have taken my money and sold me what I was ready to buy. I'll let you look at my set up and we'll go for a few runs and see what you think.

I don't think a 55 gallon drum will fit in the trunk!

I agree. I ran 11.4 @118 With a 61 turbo 25-26 psi on a stock longblock. I would think your car will go a little faster with cam and heads at same boost level.
What's your goals with the car?

Would like to run high 10. 10.99 would be just fine.

11.10's will just eat me up!

I ran the cuda in the low eleven's for a couple years. It took a set of $5000 cylinder heads and a custom cam to break the 10's. The car never did hook well after that but did 131 mph in the quarter. With the right 60 ft that car should go 10.20's. Just quit racing it because I have to much money in it to go tear it up.

Would like to race the GN once in a while and have a good time driving it on the street. Nothing better than a 10 second street car with A/C

I think your goals can be achieved with what you have, but may want dual nozzle setup to be safe. Otherwise, your choice of 60's will be good. I'm going to the track soon as I get my HO coil from gbody

Let me know when you are going to the track and I will bring the GN over. I always went on test and tune events. How soon before you get your coil?

I hope to get it tomorrow. Its gonna be hot, so I may just wait till weather breaks from this heat wave. Im limited to 1/8 mile tho.

Yeah, September and October are better weather months for the track.
