I have had a couple of them, both automatics though. Always wish I had had a nice 4 speed 10th. I love those cars, not the power of a GN or TTA, but they just hold a special place in my heart. A GREAT cruizing car with a thumpin stereo playing Def Leppard, Cinderella, Boston ya you get the drift:D

Man am I getting old or what!!!!

i used to have a gold anniversary and yea they are great cars. like you said , not as much power as my buick but it held its own. a part of me wishes i never got rid of it, but then again i wouldnt have gotten the buick. that car in my eyes is deffinately a classic.:D

I have had plenty of 2nd gens and I must say that the 400 4speed cars are a blast. They aren't really all that fast but the 4 speed makes it feel at least a second quicker. Although I personally prefer the '77-78's over the '79-81's, the '79 tenth anniversary with 400-4sp is definately a nice car and one I would like to own one day.

my first car was a 10th TA that i purchased out of a barn in 1990 for 900.00 my freshman year of highschool-

the lady was putting water in the radiator instead of antifreeze and split the block in 3 places:(

i put that car back together and drove it to and from in high school- my junior year i found another automatic 10th TA, and bought it as a spare car:rolleyes:

nobody at school realized i had 2 cars cause they looked identical:rolleyes: silver on silver with mirrored tops, leather with the birds sown on the door panels and rear back seat....

after highschool i found a 4 speed 10th with 31K on it, i drove it to car shows and they were all cool cars, just slow compared to my dads 73TA and the 67BIRD..... i sold all the old TA's and purchased my first turbo regal with some of the $$...

if i were to buy another older one, it would be a 67-69 BIRD....

but then again i havent done anything with the 67 BIRD my dad purchased in 1970, we only take it out on fathers day, and a few car shows a year...
its a real cool car, red on red hardtop WZ 400 4speed with 3:55 gears, hood tach, car isnt perfect, but NOT restored and has all original carpet, door panels, seats, headliner, console not repainted, original dash, AM radio....
