Damaged

That Damage is unreal !! Looks like steel pillers were dropped on those cars. Looks like a tornado touched down to cause so much damage! I can only imagine how the owners of those cars had to have feel.

Aye it is nuts the level of damage on a-pillars and roofs. It makes me realize the importance of the garage for my car. We have a a lot more rain than nice weather where Im from, and I try to keep it out of that. One night in a windstorm with the trees we have though could be worse than 20 years of rain.

sounds like someone's gonna get a good deal

sucks for the sellers but may be a blessing for any potential buyers if they still have the cars going through. what did they have those cars housed in, one of those practice facilities the cowboys used before it fell down after a mildstorm. heck 50-60 mph winds happen alot around texas. aahh that'll buff out won't it JK.

How sad is that?:frown: That is an insurance company's worst nightmare. Imagine having to pay out all those claims at once? Hopefully they all had good policies.

I would think that most of the cars with roof damage would have to be considered total losses. I would be so pissed that my car got destroyed, but what are you going to do with mother nature. It would be nice to know someone at the insurance company though as total losses are typically sold off at 10% of their value!

I heard the insurance company estimates the average claim will be $5000 per car. Wishful thinking on their part....

That sounds about right. Although many may thing their cars are worth more but the reality is going to be a rude awakening. If the owners didn't have a "declared value" in their contracts, they are going to get what ever the insurance companies will give them. I don't wish that pain on anyone. If you know there is going to be a storm with high winds, why risk selling your investment? Doesn't make sense.

My Dad is out there for the winter, He was telling me about how much damage was done .He was was there after it happened. sucks!

I learned one thing by loking at that. There are a lot of nice cars w/ poorly prepped body work before paint. 1/2 the cars have paint coming off in giant pieces.....like a hard candy shell. Ive crashed cars far worse and had little paint removed...just shockingly poor paint jobs smoothed to look high end.

You are right. Didn't realize it.

Man thats horrible, looking at it from a Dent Repairman's view..nothing I can fix there :(

Would Insurance Cover The Damage

That's horrible.......most collector car insurances I've had require the car to be kept in a locked covered garage when not in use......with that in mind, makes me wonder if the damage would even be covered :eek: Anyone know for sure?
