Anyone Tried 1/2" Head Bolts??

At this point in my journey , head gaskets/torching heads seems to be the weak link!! I am seriously looking into installing 1/2" head studs in the 2 center rows to keep the heads clamped down. Anybody eles tried this?? Go to same title in ENGINE TECH SECTION for further discussion to keep it all in one thread.

I have done it on the 109 but not on the stage II.What head gasket do you have?The 7/16 should be fine.Is your tune ok ?

Chris, See the ENGINE TECH SECTION. Im sure the tune is not right , or its not right enough to keep the heads on it!! Mike

My buddy Jim Rock has called me a hickory head on occasion!! I guess I am!! But getting this thing in the 3's in the 1/8 mile is my goal. Problem is Im going backwards!!! Mike

Ok Im back on the Buick project and installing 1/2" head studs. Anyone intrested in updates and info on this project go to the ENGINE TECH section and look for (Anyone tried 1/2" head bolts) Mike
