I used this stuff with no problems long ago (even cheaper than methyl hydrate) without problems but could never find out if it contained detergent.
I comes in the form of -50 degree celius plumbing antifreeze and most times pink. I think if your crazy and desperate enough you can drink this stuff...LOL.
I went back to mixing methyl hydrate with -35 non detergent window washer to save $$ which works great.
