From what I understand, there are some, but they're awfully shy.

I have it for spoolup. When i first installed it it wasnt shutting off. It was only 50hp but it felt like about 100hp. I saw the highest duty cycles i have ever seen on my injectors and the ambient air temp was 90*. I was well over 800hp but only for a few seconds a few times since my intentions werent to use it that way. I use my XFI to turn it on and off. Its a dry shot. Use at least 110 octane, keep timing around 20*, and a 10.6:1 a/f target. If you plan on running it through the whole pass id go with the largest trim exhaust wheel you can get for your setup. If your running a 3 bolt it would be the HPQ or S trim. Aka 68 trim. You will need a really good converter to be able to couple with the high torque.

Ive used a wet kit setup in the past..... car was running over 100 in the 1/8th at the time but Im not going to post much info about it...

There used to be a few hidden direct port intakes running around... I unfourantly had to sell mine due to money issues, but as far as I know there is still 3 of them running around :D

depends what kind of class racing your talking about ;) and where this "class" racing is taking place at also

no one from the tb.com would ever boost up there turbo regal on the street

Dont need it for spool up, i just was wanting to know if someone is running me down i can shot a little in top gear to get away! Im running meth/ 91-93 oct. Will i need to drop boost?

The nitrous will cause the boost to shoot up on you.

i run a wet kit 35 shot gave me 3 psi, stuff works awesome but tough on parts.nozzle placed right between the dual nozzle meth from alkycontrol:D

125 shot to spool the turbo here. I use a cheapie sniper wet kit. My GenII translator window switch turns it on at wot 2800 rpm and off at 16 psi or so (I run about 22 total right now)

I have no bottle heater so its likely somewhat less than a 125 shot flowing through the fogger nozzle. My bottle pressure without the heater will hang out at around 750 psi but the kit is rated at 950 psi (iirc)

I love nitrous. The sudden hit of power and boost is indescribable. I recently cut a 1.54 60' off the foot brake with it (hanging my left front tire in the air).

On the street it's downright stupid tire spin.

Did you happen to sell yours on ebay?? I saw one proabbaly a year ago on there. It was awesome. both lines came in from below the cool to the lower intake. No one would ever see it!! It was a very nice looking piece!!!

Yep one of them went onto ebay :frown: I was short on money last year and sold a ton of parts  I really wish I would have kept one but now I'm playing with the alky and a much more mild combo.... right now the goal is just to keep the car running and enjoy it lol.... wrenching all the time gets old

Well it's getting to the point no one will run me unless they spray NOS, so i figure i get a little of my own, so they can stop trying to intimadate me! Will a dry shot cause it to go lean? Will that mean to run fat all the time incase i use it? I was thinking of putting it on the exit side of the FMIC.

I'm not a fan of dry systems. You're relying on the O2 sensor to adjust the fueling for you after it senses a lean condition caused by the nitrous. The problem is the O2 sensor is picking up this lean condition some time after the event has already occurred. I would only use a very small system if it was going to be dry.

I don't see the point in running a dry system at all. Why would you want one? The only concern I can imagine one would have would be the wet flow characteristics of a dry flow manifold. With the amount of alcohol people run successfully on our manifolds, I don't think it's something major to worry about for most.

Assuming one has enough supplemental injector flow, a dry setup with a programmable ecu(xfi,bs3) is the only way to go. No fuel solenoid to worry about, and jetting is as simple as adjusting a fuel map with a few keystrokes.YouTube - Nitrous Fail at Shakedown @ E-Town 2009
That would work very well where the ecu was programmed to richen at the signal that the nitrous system was activated, but how would you do that with the stock ECU?

Whoa! That is why you build as many safeties into your system as possible. Even then, a stuck solenoid can ruin your day real quick.

Scott. Do you know what the failure was that caused the explosion?

I apologize. I did not realize the question was directed towards a stock ecu configuration. It appears that in the video after they purge the mutli-stage system one of the solenoids stay open. Listen to the rpms - NWS by the way - YouTube - Shakedown at E-town Huge Nitrous EXPLOSION Jeff Rodgers
