SignUp Now!Not with XFI. There is a seperate table and you can increase the DC based on the added hp easily. Its actually superior to a wet system since you can nail down the initial hit after a few data logged passes. Ive found that you need to delay the fuel a little or you get a big rich spot. You start off with slightly rich numbers then go backward. If anything the O2 will be showing rich so it pulls fuel. If its a 50 shot i start out adding about 30lb/hr of fuel and work backward from there. Bottle temps have a huge effect on the nitrous flow so with a wideband you are making more consistent power too. Running a setup without something like xfi is very risky imo unless its just for spoolup.I'm not a fan of dry systems. You're relying on the O2 sensor to adjust the fueling for you after it senses a lean condition caused by the nitrous. The problem is the O2 sensor is picking up this lean condition some time after the event has already occurred. I would only use a very small system if it was going to be dry.
Assuming one has enough supplemental injector flow, a dry setup with a programmable ecu(xfi,bs3) is the only way to go. No fuel solenoid to worry about, and jetting is as simple as adjusting a fuel map with a few keystrokes.YouTube - Nitrous Fail at Shakedown @ E-Town 2009
I totally agree with you. But, I think he's talking about using a dry system with an OEM controller. Not with XFI. There is a seperate table and you can increase the DC based on the added hp easily. Hell, if so many are running it, I may change my mind about not using it! I have really wanted to..... I was wondering what that big shinny thing in the back of my car was?
Please don't tell me you're 2 staging that thing.![]()
