anyone had problems with it? will it fit perfectly on an 87 turbo?should it be put on by itself or coat it with a sealer? im asking cause ive pulled my new turbo 3 times now trying to flaten the flange. it seems flat but the turbo is really loud(alot louder than the stock one above 2000 rpm with light throttle) which makes me think exhaust leak. and it also seems slower on the top end than the stock turbo.
i raced an nsx the other day and i wasted him off the line, but once i got over 40 mph the power just died out and he flew by me. i really want to fix this so i can beat this guy, he has been talking bad about buicks since he beat me. he only runs low 13s and he has 120,000 dollars in the car. he has a comptech supercharger on it and a few other bolt ons on it, and he cant hook for crap on the street.i heard him squeeling while i blew by him.i should be running close to 12's with my setup. at the quarter mile line i was 2 carlengths behind him:mad: .

Man, with $120k in that pig, he should be in the 1s:D

Hope your figure your car out, but if you don't , don't worry, at least you have less than $100,000 in your car.:D

ya i thought that was pretty funny. ive got 5000 dollars in mine counting the car too. the guy who owns the nsx is an 18 year old kid. his dad owns a honda dealership around here. he has blown up about 10 hondas now. they took it to the track and the best they got was 12.95.

I run them. I ordered three the other day because I had to give Frankg one for his car. No problems with ours!!

I have one, but decided not to use it. I even used a diegrinder to open the gasket up to the port. I finally settled on a MrGasket Ultraseal 2.5 inch hedder flange gasket. It is a graphite impregnated steel shim gasket. It's readily available at most local auto parts stores. You may have to re-tighten (once) after a few hundred miles. Mine hasn't leaked so far

Those 01261269 'Riv' gaskets are superb! They work perfect and will always be in my inventory.

is the hole in the middle to small or something. does it have to be grinded out? i have one on order here. i should have it tommorow. hopefully it will be the last time i have to pull the turbo.

It doesn't have to be. The ID is a little smaller than the inlet to the turbine housing so if you feel the need trim it back. I may try on my motor when I get it together. I think I will use my Dremel with a small cut off wheel and zip around it.
