Looks decent, the real question is do their solenoids have a failure rate as high as some other (APEXi) closed loop boost controllers... You may also want to find out if it is a dual solenoid or single as with a dual you may need an external gate so it can pulse the top and bottom of the gate to control it, don't know if it matters though.

It's a single solenoid pressure tested to 100 psi. Looks pretty heavy duty.

I'm running one. It works nicely. You have to purchase the 75 psi sensor separately. It comes with a 29 psi sensor that I've been able to adjust up to about 28 psi. I can go a little more with some tension on the wastegate spring. I am running an external gate too, but I don't think it matters. I like it!

Don,
You get that car running yet? I will be ready to race you Pink's Style soon?

LOL what's up Tony. No car is not running yet. I'm doing all the FAST wiring and lots of other misc wiring. Everything else is done. Another month maybe?

I don't think I'll be running more than 29 psi of boost on this setup because it is designed for low boost so I'll skip the $206 75 psi solenoid upgrade!

Don.
While you're shopping around, you might want to look into the AMS brand of controllers.

AMS 500 or AMS 1000.

Cal's post about the AMS 500.

To quote a phrase from Daisy, "Seeins how", almost all of the Big Dawg Turbo Buick owners run these, and you're a Big Dawg now too, it only makes sense. Contact Cal or Holley as they are distributors for AMS.

Ya need to hit a brother up and let me know your progress man....

I was looking at the AMS 500 unit as well...thanks Pat. Not sure if it will be overkill for what I'm doing with the car though since I won't be racing every weekend. I just want to be able to control my boost from inside the car. I'm still hung up on whether I should keep the internal wastegate setup or go external but nowadays with the Buick stuff, external is hard to have done since it's a custom deal. I'd rather keep it simple with the internal gate and just make sure I port the crap out of the turbine hsg hole.

Nothing really custom about an external gate, just buy a dp, test pipe and a wastegate to match the pipe...

if you want to do it the right way, you need to run the external gate between your passenger side header and downpipe which would lead to having my TA header modified and downpipe, not to mention having the turbine hsg on the turbo modified...it's just too much work and overkill for what I'm trying to do
