are heads right and left?

on the 1987 gn's the right and left heads are they the same . does it matter which one go's on which side and if so how can you tell right from left ?anyone

no differance just on rockers

The rockers that were on my stock heads were all the same, but when I got my Ron Anderson ported irons, they had a "L" or "R" on them. Not sure why...

The ones that are marked "L" and "R" are stock replacements and they are designated to go in that particular place. Looking from above they should be in this order

"L" "R" "L" "R" "L" "R"

If you remove the stock ones and dont know where they came from than you should buy the new ones as the difference between the left and right peices are hard to see but, there is a difference.

As far as the heads go, they are interchangeable from left to right but, Its good practice to put them back on whichever side they came from.
