I am going a different route so I sold my aluminum block. I am looking for a good engine builder that build strong turbo buick motors. has anybody used or heard of weather performance products, and if so do they build strong reliable motors? By strong I mean constant mid to low tens maybe dipping into the 9s every now and then.

Our group has had Don Cruz build our motors. He's built 3 of them for us and has done an outstanding job. He said the one he built for my car can handle into the mid 9s. If you want his number, PM me and I'll pass it along.

Didn't do much for the grammar and spelling, either....
Going to dump the alum engine, for a stock block???

I'm getting ready to post a Pros/Cons thread on them in a few weeks. I have a source looking into RPE first. I'm building a stroker...bigtime stroker!!! Maybe someone will post stuff here.

Lou Czarnota of Lou's Auto Service.

He's the man.

What is RPE

RPE is in Hartford CT. Bobby builds BAD ASS motors. Dave Fiscus and Tony Gomes both had their engines built by him, they run 7.97 through the quarter...
Bobby built my stroker, but I dont think he is building for just anyone anymore, you may have to go through a vendor to get one.

Im hoping that the black cloud that has been over my car since 2007 has gone elsewhere. I am going with race fuel for now, may go e85 sometime. Boost will be controlled through the XFI via solenoid, not putting my trust back into the manual boost controller with a mind of its own again. Who knows, I may well have been over 40psi on pump gas and ALKY when the controller went nuts. Since the 3 bar map will only read 29.6 psi I will never know how high it went, you saw the carnage...I need to have some tuning done on the XFI to safeguard in the event of any out of the ordinary events to protect the motor.

Just glad to see you with a running car again Bryan.;) I'm just about through with my frame so hopefully I can get mine going again.:)

Car is running but I am not driving it until I upgrade the XFI and get the boost controlled through programming. Right now it is hooked up tuner style with a 6lb spring in the wastegate. I installed the Pypes exhaust with DynoMax VT mufflers while I was at RC's, sounds great and absolutely ZERO drone !!! I took TurboBob for a ride after the install was complete, he was impressed !
Good luck with yours

Yes, Weber can build a reliable motor capable of the power level you are looking for. However, it takes alot more than just a powerful engine to attain this goal. You'll also need the rest of the driveline and suspension, and a good tune to be up for the task. I have a Weber built engine and have been adding other items, turbo and converter, to hopefully make a solid pass at the times you mentioned in the next few weeks.

i have a few Weber products on my engine and everything looked great when i got it and seems to be working fine.
