ARP Main Bolt Torque Spec's

This past week I received all the hardware from Weber for my 109 rebuild.

Part of that hardware list was a 109 block with billet center mains and the assocated ARP bolts.

I am installing the crank and since Weber already had put together the main caps, I did not get the instruction sheet indicating what the torque specs were for the mains. Does anyone happen to know what this is with the recommended ARP moly lube. I have seen some post that indicate using the stock torque specs is ok. I don't agree and would appreciate it if any body knows the ARP torque requirements. I then need to go through five cycles and I am on my way to short block assembly.

Stud Torque

I think you might want to doubt check that torque # again. Been using 95 ft lbs here for years on ARP 1/2 studs. 70 is along the lines of a 7/16" stud. These #'s with the ARP moly lube.

ARP says 90 with thier lube...you want to use the same torque that had been used when the line bore was done.

Wow this is interesting, I think the response on the line bore is probably the best to date. But this is what I found that ARP recommends. I have attached the website as well as copied the data. For the two bolt main model # 5401 they recommend 85 lbs with 30wt oil and 70lbs with the ARP lube.

I'll double check with Weber tomorrow.
