Chris, the tcc selnoid finally came in so i installed it, my car shifts smoother than before and now my overdrive seems not want to kick in at low speed, what speed should the overdrive kick in? my car seems like its still in drive or if i have a lower gear. do i need to adjust the detent cable or what, The speed i was driving in was around 50 to 55

at cruise speed ie just enuf throttle to maintain 45 mph in 3rd gear o/d should come in at 45 to 50 mph if not loosen tv unless you like it late .worn out motors will benefit from the tighter settin.www.ckperformance.com

I took my car on the freeway today to see if i could get it to shift into overdrive, but when it shift into overdrive the car felt like it was going to shut off, like it was going to die out..what could cause that... i know i hooked up the tcc solenoid correctly. also the one i got from you was bigger than the one i took out, does that help it shift better?

lock up may be commanded at the wrong time .you may need to have the car scanned on a diagnostic machine ,ie snap on scanner or scanmaster.the solenoid is an updated one hence the different shape.www.ckperformance.com

fixed the problem, I did not push the solenoid all the way, had the washers on the inside of the solenoid. removed them and put them on the outside with the screws..works fine now,.... thanks Chris

45-50 mph??? my OD kicks in between 35-40 and the tcc locks at 45...isn't that the correct shift?
