Does anyone know of this outfit, and is their work reputable?

Any references, or other opinions?

I might be purchasing a turbo second hand that was never installed, and the seller says it's from them with a "special bearing" installed..

Any help or opinions would be great!

Thanks in advace!
Chris

Yep....Charlie

Quite a few people I know have bought turbos from him and had him rebuild old units for them. Most of his supply is from John Craig, and if I'm not mistaken him John and Harry go way back.

I have yet to hear any bad things about him. I've got a PT-44 in my truck now that's on it's way to him.

I thought I had his phone number here, but I must have misplaced it. If you like I could get it for you and you could call him direct and ask him about the turbo in question, he's a nice guy and I think you would find him more than willing to answer any questions you may have.

When I lived down there and first got my car, I bought my t-bolt clamps and hoses there. You should see some of the turbos in that shop. They do them for yachts also. Some of them were as big as a table. Unreal.

He's done some work for me before. He's kind of pricey but his quality seemed okay. I wouldn't be scared to use him for anything because as was mentioned above, he is pretty tight with John and I know he consults John on the Buick stuff when he has questions.
