gnxtc2 said:have to make public apology to Mike Licht for accusing him of making these knock off headers.
I hope BA didn't make these headers. How would BA like it if someone made a knock off of their awesome ICs???
This knock off stuff gotta stop. It will only hurt the vendors.

Billy,
Thanks for that. I accept your apology. If your are coming to BG stop by and let's shake hands. Truth be told however you and a couple other guys have been taking shots at me and making false statements since the girdle thing. I have explained my position on that before and provided the facts and that we did not do what you, Jason and others have repeatedly accused us of, so I will not bother to go there again.
The bigger picture is that no one needs to copy anything, the Chinese/ Korean suppliers are doing it for us. Then they contact us and offer to sell us the products after they make them. Don't believe me go to alibaba.com and search around for buick headers and other parts. I have been offered these headers three times now and once by a well known Buick Vendor (don't ask, not telling) The actual manufacturer in China has them in stock ready to ship to anyone (they have the ATR version too and a downpipe in the works) The price, well if I told you the price you would not believe me it is so mind bending. Lets just say that there is lots of profit being made. We are upfront about the parts we get from there, we do not try to hide and we stand behind them because we know they will work, we pass on the ones that don't. Why, because we use and test them. I can tell you this, if you are looking at tube product (intake, exhaust) and it is polished, 99% of the time it comes from there. Don't blame the vendor, blame the source, the only thing the vendor is guilty of is chosing to sell the part. I did it, and would do it again if it was the right part and would work as advertised. Trust me, someone is going to sell the part, it is not like no one is going to buy it from the suppliers when there is money to be made. It can either be some no face ebay guy or a vendor that you know and can depend on to test and stand behind the product. I passed on the ATR headers after seeing the inconsistant production. I almost bought 50 sets of the ATR style later to re-work with new v-bands and crossovers "guaranteed to fit" and sell at the right price. The accusations posted here drove us off. Some of you may not like this but this type of marketing is not going away, the only thing going away is the vendors who do not figure out how to use this situation to stay in business instead of sitting by and getting put under by those who do.
