I work with a major software company, and we are developing a new video game. I need to make an audio recording of a Grand National, or GNX in the Seattle area by the middle of August. This recording session will take place on a Dyno, so whoever is willing to let us record their GN will get a free dyno run in the process. CAR MUST BE IN THE GREATER SEATTLE AREA! If you have such a car, and would like to know more, post a reply with your e-mail adress, and I will respond to you privately.

game

Is the game going to be for console or pc? I assume you aren't able to mention which company you work for, but when is the game planned to be released?:D

I'm afraid that I really can't say any more than I have at this time. I hope that you understand!;)

I'd try posting in the Pacific Northwest section, but I'll try to move a link if it's not too late.

I'd be interested,

When are you looking at doing this? Also, you may want to consider doing a street recording as well. GN's have some signature sounds that I don't think will come out on the dyno.

I'm up for it!

My GN was the one that was photographed by such un-named major software company in the Seattle area for the upcoming X-Box game release.

Can't use Sam's GN because you don't want to record half a dozen exhaust leaks :p

Can't use Frank's GN because you don't want to record PCV check valve or head gaskets exploding

J/K guys ;)

I agree that the dyno is limited to recording the cool sound of an accelerating GN. Definitely encourage you to also record with a GN coming towards you and passing you. That turbo turbine sound is unique and unreal.

OK, got it covered!

Looks like I found my Buick to record! Thanks for the responses!!!

Go for it:cool:
After I found out that you have to hold steady for 10 seconds every 500 rpm increments from REDLINE to idle I was concerned my head gaskets might blow.

Actually my TA49 boost is fluttering a lot during partial 10-15psi, so that wouldn't sound too good at the mid rpm recordings.

Post here tomorrow how the session went.
