Aussie Buick

his engine is not our series II. they are very different. his is lik our old 3800's that were in the 89 lesabre's and bonnevilles. these heads were used on the 89 turbo TA so the RWD3.8 and FWD 3800's shared alot of common parts. the Aussie 3800 has the 2.8 type bell. as for cams i believe you can run a GN type cam and just take out the balanceshaft in the 3800. that's what we do in ford 3.8's also.

the old 3800 was a pretty good engine. i had 4 of them in different cars including an 88 reatta. the old M-62 blown 3800's i believe were the same engine but the series II's are not and won't work

also the 3.8 GN rods and pistons will work in his aussie 3800 i believe

correction to my above post. the pre-seriesI 3800's LN3's will use the series I M-62 blower setup but may not be able to use the old LG3 and RWD 3.8 rods.

that was a confusing period when they were phasing out the 3.8 for the 3800
