Found a freeware ap called Qres. It's a command line utility that will allow you to create a batch file to change your resolution settings. I have a large screen on my laptop and need to change it to 800x600 whenever I run the Powerlogger software otherwise it's totally small and can't see it. I created a batch file to change the resolution then run powrelogger with 1 click.
When I'm done, I created another file called "restore" that resets the settings back to my 1200x resoltion.

Simple thing but PITA to always keep switching...now it's just one click.

If anyone wants it, hit me up.

Here you go. I got a 1.55 60' yesterday on my 11.40 pass. :)

Got a story for ya though, will email you. Almost lost both front rims last week!

any special instructions on installing?

Nope, just unzip all 3 files and place them in your folder where your powerlogger files are located.

You then just double click the powerlogger.bat file when you want to run PL and use the restore when done to switch back. If your res settings are different, you can edit the file called "restore.bat" and just replace my res settings with whatever you run and save the file.

One VERY annowing issue!!! It doesn't return my desktop icons to their original positions during the restore dot bat

Yup. Which would explain why I hate to change resolutions, once I find one I like.
I have a 17.5" widescreen on my laptop, so changing resolutions really screws up my desktop icons.

When I need a REALLY big dash display for monitoring, I can run Tuner Pro RT which fills the entire screen.

I generally use powerlogger for data logging which doesn't require my attention.

On Tuner Pro RT (attached to Translator Pro) I can display 6 huge digital displays at once. A quick glance is all one needs.

That's what the quicklaunch bar is for..get rid of the icons and problem solved!

I've got a lot of icons on my desktop that I use on a daily basis. They would never all fit down there.

This nice big display will work for now. ;)
