I like things to happen automatically while I drive or race my car so I've made an automatic dump cap that works only under boost. It's made out of a Ford 4.6L throttle body and a factory stock wastegate actuator. All the brackets and flanges I made myself. I left the throttle stop screw in place so if I wanted to have a little exhaust tone I could open it up slightly and let the noise emit. I have no idea of how long it will last with it being made out of aluminum and being hooked to a hot exhaust system. Time will tell. I've got $40 bucks in it and that was just for the TB. Just thought I'd share.

That is purdy darn neat. Now hook up a kill switch in the car in case you wanna run boost quietly, like when the policeman is around.

So, hanging around Pat yields this contraption. I'll give you this, you're an outside of the box thinker for sure!

Hope we can see it in action at the Thanksgiving GTG.

man thats awsome. you must have alot of time on your hands.

Haha that's an awesome setup, definitely creative. I like to toy around with things like that and do things in an unconventional way. Very cool.

I had that same idea (but electronically driven) but found out some old gm car already had it like 30 years ago. I remember reading about it somwhere as a kid. Maybe oldsmobile? I'm not sure, but at any rate, I myself have been tinkering around with that theory as well. Good job.

No better use for a Ferd part, that's for sure. Great Job. I'd buy one for my Stroke!
