AutoZone Ignition Module/Coil Pack?

DIS-2 HO, PN 62111 and DIS-4 HO, PN 62151

Or this:
DIS-2, PN 6211 and DIS-4, PN 6215

I'm talking the coil packs or a module, not external boxes. Although i would like to get feedback from someone who has used one of those on their car.

Aftermarket Coil packs - MSD and ACCEL make Type II replacement coils, but NADA for the magnavox style coil packs. Same thing on the CCCI. The Buick vendors do have higher output coil packs - Caspers for sure - maybe Full Throttle too..??

I am currently running the MSD DIS-4 and TR interface. When the car runs, throttle response and part throttle performance is "crisper", but - it didn't knock a full second off of the 1/4 mile performance or anything like that.

autozone duralast ign module

at the risk of threadjumping I am in the middle of a no-start situation and was reading through this thread. I bought a Duralast ign module from Autozone earlier today because I already had a good extra coil pack...

Here is my question, my car started losing throttle response, was idling rough, and then died while idling and would not restart. When I got it home and started checking it out I found the coilpack looked liked it had melted down (pic should be attached) It was supposed to be a new GM unit (bought from board member) that had been running fine for a few weeks.

I also found a firewall ground that was not completely tight so I fixed that and installed my known good coil. I still have no spark so I am wondering if the module is bad after all. Is there a way to check my module that is on the car to confirm it is bad?

a bad cam sensor can cause a no fire along with a bad crank sensor check them also.

the CCCI fuse was blown-I guess by the coil meltdown. Car starts and runs now. Same ign module. I think I am going to get a GM coil and ign module now that I have some time. I am going to also add a ground from the module bracket as described in this thread.
