The time has come to replace my Powermaster Break system. The PUMP is seaping break fluid. I've heard some pretty good things about the Autozone unit. Does someone have the PART# and what it includes??? Does it come with everything I need, the Master Cylinder, Pump, Switch & accumulator? Any help is greatly appreciated, THANKS...

Installed mine last week. It was complete with ball and switch. Was plug and play. HMM, I wonder if they'll notice that the core doesn't have the ball and switch????

I had one put in about two months ago. Went right in and came all painted with the upgraded switch and new ball too. Came to $143.99 plus the core charge ($60.00).

Thanks for the replies!!!

Does the Autozone unit come with the pump?

Also can anyone tell me step by step how to replace the entire unit?

Thank you very much, JASON

It's plug and play, complete.
Read the instructions on how to prime the pump.
It comes with a syringe (sp) to "push" the fluid to prime the pump, but you will need to push the pedal with the ignition off to work some air out of the ball, etc after the pump runs. (This may be in the instructions, but I was too lazy to read that far).
Make sure you get CORRECT bench bleeder hoses from the store, they aren't in the box AND the kit they gave me did not fit both brake line fittings. Test fit them at the store.

1. disconnect electrical connections and brake lines
2. remove 2 bolts that hold to firewall
3. remove clip and washer on the brake pedal
4. remove unit from car, have to shimmy it around to get it off brake pedal, push it off the pedal from inside the car.
5. install new unit, 2 bolts, and clip to brake pedal.
6. Bench bleed unit and prime the pump (order?).
7. Hook up brake lines and electrical.
8. allow pump to prime according to instructions and what I mentioned above. I didn't work all the air out and noticed 2 days later that the pump was running too much. All I did was pump it down with the ignition off, but the instructions may have a better way.
9. bleed brakes.
10. roast a mustang.

I think that covers it........

I just replaced mine two weeks ago with autozone. Seems to work great. Although i didnt use the syringe or the bleeder hoses as you stated above. The directions i read from, i bypassed the syringe thing and the bleeder hoses. I followed all the other steps with a friend doing all the pumping ect.. while i loosened and tightened the brake line nuts to get all the air out. I hope it wasnt necessary to bypass the above i mentioned
