i recieved mine from Jesse, one of the admins here on TB.COM. , its growing on me.

im thinking of changing it, how do we do this?
just go to the user section and upload a new pic?

Is there anyway to get around the 512 byte limit? It's ridiculously low.

This paragraph is more than five hundred and twelve bytes. I am doing this to prove what a small amount of information can be stored in five hundred and twelve bytes. A byte is an eight digit binary string of information used to designate a character. As any individual letter is in itself a character, our avatars can only be the size of five hundred and twelve letters. If I can use that amount of letters in this small amount of space, the resulting avatar will be even smaller. Point being 512 B is too small.
