Pretty cool, that is pretty much off the main tourist trap roads.
I have in-laws over there, some SW of Slazberg.

Did you drive the Nurburgring while there?

No unfortunatly. I was only in Austria for a day, my little brother and his wife went white water rafting close by Haiming. I checked out a few surrounding towns (Haiming, Iimst) and shopped. Beautiful countryside

Did you go by the Edwiess in Southern Germany? looks amazing there. I leave Germany in 18 more days.

Yeah, thats where I stayed for 4 days... it was beautiful ! Relaxed in the hot tub every evening. Also went to the top of the highest mountain in Germany.. the Zukspitze... which is right there by the Edelweiss Lodge. Its great because they have all those tours you can do from the hotel... like the Disney castle (Newschwanstein sp?) I did that tour and the horse and carriage ride around Garmish. It just rains way too much for me in Germany... Im a sunshine girl.

What base are you at ? My mom is at Ramstein.

Austria is a great little country, the people are not as stuffy as the Germans.

I was in Karlsuhe for 2 years, years ago. Put over 20k miles on a 10yo 4 banger mercedes in 16 months. Yep, out touring every chance I got.

Didn't go to Garmish, spent a weekend in Berchisgarden though when I first got there.

Autobans are sooooooooo much fun. How fast can you go for how long you want.

Enjoy your trip.

LOL I was in the same hot tub in April for my R&R. Did you Make it to Munich by the one concentraion camp (Dachua)? I went there earlier in the month.

Yeah it does rain here a little too much for me also. I love the summer and the sun too, but I won't enjoy it too much because i'll be a recrutier and working all the time in Ga.

I'm stationed out of Mannheim,Germany. It Is like 40 Mins or so way from Ramstein AB. We go up there to the crazy mall the have on the Air base.
