I will have to admit that first video had me fooled, and I even thought to myself that Big Ol B-52 sure has a tight turning radius, much tighter than my P-3 and that thing is at least twice as big...THEN I saw the 2nd video and realized why!

Pretty cool stuff.....wonder how much that thing costs?

That's the exact same thing I was thinking Dan. I was also thinking that's a pretty massive thing to take out for a 'joyride'.

It is a cool model. I could tell when it was flying it wasn't the real thing. Didn't sound healthy enough(single engine) and the engines weren't trailing black smoke! I'd like to own one of these though. Yeah, what if we could attach small bombs to it and use it in combat to knock off some rag-heads.

A real B-52 will have smoke trails from the turbines. An A-10 doesn't

Actually if you look at the pics of the model, they are using 8 mini turbines....

Saw the vids & pics a while ago. Here is the company that makes the engines. http://www.wren-turbines.com/news.htm Guess people have put them in several different craft.

Well, that is very cool!!! I saw the first one as well and was like "whoopdedoo" until I saw the second. Those engines are about $3500 complete, so they have about $26000 in engines alone. It is nice to have money to burn like that

There is a get together in Florida every year that is just turbine powered R/C planes, I'd like to go some day! It might be called Top Gun (serioulsy)
