What is the fastest MPH a turbo regal has run?

I was thinking it was just a general question of what speed will the body hold up at. I think Joe had to maintain that speed for a mile (standing mile). I have no idea as far as the 1320 goes.

what car is yours EightSecV6?
i have some videos of alot of cars but dont know the owners
the quickest i have on tape is 8.2...i dont know what happened to all the fast cars on fri. and sat....i missed all the good 7 sec runs

I sure would have liked to see the timeslip on that one, not to take anything away from Kent, his car is amazingly fast. He ran at least 1 low 8sec pass with the same MPH. He said it went 4.50 in the 1/8 on that run, that would equate to about a 6.99 at 200 or so.....

What's up with that 163mph?? That is low for a 7.60 pass so was he letting out of it or did something happen (IC hose pop off)

Brick,
If I had to guess, I'd say the 60ft was something like a 0.5:D ....
I'd like to see the slip. Kent's car is lightning fast but it aint 4.50 in the 1/8 fast....sorry! He went an 8.16 (I think) at 163 on the pass he made before the 7.60!

Maybe he staged with the back tires?? That would be my best guess:confused:

Wasn't that car running in the 170+mph (176-179 as far as I remember) range??

I am not sure what MPH Kent has run on his 7.8 Passes but I doubt that car will not do a 7.6 @ 163. I also agree with Bill, no 4.50 in the 1/8 with a V6 at 3000 plus lbs!
The fastest Pro 5.0 guys are in that range with more professional programs and 600 to 700 more HP!

I sent an email to Bill.... I have the Vid. Actually I have a ton of video. Just no where to host it.

I will see what I can get together and if someone wants to host them let me know.

How did the other big dogs run?

Congrats again Billy on that 7.59! You have really motivated me to go to a Liberty 5-speed - just hate to have to go through the clutch learning curve! Never did get to see Rudbeck's time slip. Not to take anything away from Kent - his car is bad - but the numbers just don't add up. ???

We had problems getting my car to spool on Wednesday and Thursday. Traced it down to a bad MSD DIS-4 - went back to bone stock Buick coil pack ignition. Unfortunately we hurt the converter in the process. We did manage to get the thing to run in spite of itself on Friday with a little "creative" tuning and engineering - 8.20 in 1st round of Quick 8, 8.22 in 2nd Round, and 8.25 in a grudge race with Rod Hedrickson(hope that's his name) in his blown 455 Skyhawk. These runs were all on a mild tune-up. Transbrake didn't catch in time against Rod and ended up deep staging which got me the ole red eye! I had a lot of problems keeping the thing hooked up on the big end in high gear - had to do a lot of pedaling all week (that was the on and off mentioned earlier) - ended up putting enough wing angle on the spoiler to run NASCAR trying to keep it planted which cost a good bit of MPH.
With a little more fine tuning and some more seat time, I should have her back in the 7's soon;) Anybody got any video? Wife shakes when I run to work a video cam so I didn't even ask her to try!

Are we actually going to get to see a video of Bill Anderson's car?

I have faith in you John!:D

Thanks John for hosting it and Rick for taking it. We have heard so much about this car and to finally see it run, AWESOME!!!!

Bill looks like you almost gave the track official some Sunburn:eek: at the tree.

Bill great job!! Hope you get your problems straight soon. Awsome ride. Frank:cool:

bill your car is awsome. how much horsepower do you think you are turning? i hope to see you in the 6's  as for the tweaked car it ran better than i've seen it run for awhile, i hope to see it hit a 7 soon. guys like you are bring back the excitement back to buick like it had in the early 90's.

Buddy Ingersoll was in the 190s I think???

Just got back from Labor Day at Englishtown, where I spent some time talking with Al Isacowitz on Saturday at the car show. He told me that he had run 188 mph three days earlier, and a new best et of 7.49 either that outing or the previous weekend (I forget which, and it could have been 7.46 - I hate getting old :-)). Unfortunately on Sunday they had an electrical problem and had to skip their first qualifying pass for the Buick Quick 16, and then when they started it up to warm it up for the second qualifying pass it was blowing out lots and lots of blue oil smoke so they put it back in the trailer. Hopefully they will have everything back together for Cecil Co. on Oct. 9th - wouldn't you just love to see a side-by-side race between Al and Bill? Even better, how about a best 2 out of 3 match race? Okay, I'm dreaming :-).

after witnessing his driving skills, I dont know if I want to be in the lane next to him........ 188 is FAST! anyone get it on video?
