GNX Road trip,

Its been 1 year since I sold my 87 GN and left the world of Turbo Buicks

During that year away I bought a low mileage 91 Syclone (67K miles) that I played with for 2 months.....sold it

I then bought a lower mileage 92 Typhoon (29K miles) that I played with for 9 months......sold it

During the same time I bought a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire that I had for 4 months......sold it

And now, after realizing that once you play with the Dark Side it is impossible to stay away........I have purchased GNX #485 (24K miles) from a couple up in Vancouver, Washington and tomorrow night I am flying in to take possession of my new Dream Car and I am going to drive it 1000 miles back down to SoCal.

Just me and the GNX...........doing some of that male bonding S**T

I have been so dissatisfied with all the other cars I have had since i sold my GN.........There really is little that compares to a good running Turbo Buick

If any of the West Coast brothers & sisters see me passing by on my southward trip, give me a honk

It's good to be back

That horsepower sounds about right...but that torque is astounding! Guys, fill me in, is that where the torque should be with only a K&N? Sorry, I just wouldn't expect it to be so much. Holy shnikeys!

Welcome back. Now that you have the ultimate turbo GM product, love it, rub it softly in a candlelit garage, wait wrong website:D Congratulations man!! Everytime I pull mine out of the garage I remember the way I felt the first time I drove it.

Good luck with the new purchase!

I was following that auction on ebay.....it sounds like the car had a unique history. Golf shoe imprints on the pedals? :D

Be safe on your drive home and enjoy the trip!

WOW that is a ton of torque!!!!!! holy crap for only 36k **** thats cheaper than half the cars sold today!!!

Welcome back bro.

Like yourself, I owned a few TRs in the past (Hotairs) but sold them to move on to other things... or so I thought. I lusted for an 87 GN or GNX at some point in my life.

I continued to fiddle with G body cars and have done well with them. Looked at many GN's locally that were either rusted or wrecked, or a combination of both.

2 weeks ago, I was pointed in the direction of an 87 GN with an owner who was reluctant to sell. The car was in VGC, still in the original paint, and immaculate interior. I made an offer, and the owner said he would call. I took this as a "no sale" and continued my search.

Late last week, I recieved a call, the owner of the GN had considered and was willing to accept my offer. I looked over the car one final time, and asked that he take me out for a spin (I did NOT drive it) I had completely forgotten what a TR felt like under 15+ psi!...

I'm hooked...
