Back up and going here guys with NetZero. Somebody, somewhere must have figured out there was a problem and fixed it. As of 3 pm est its up and going smooth again. Wow what a pain in the a$$ this has been. I worked on this comp for 3 days. TB.com was the only site it wouldnt go to...I thought my comp just didnt like it anymore...it was about to get thrown out a second story window. :D

I'll try from home and give my input...

If you dont see any activity from me tonight, you will know...

For you guys that are having trouble, try this:
http://208.216.104.221/forums/

I've read that there have been periodic problems with some ISP's DNS servers. They are what translate your web addy to a number..The numbers listed above are tb.com's actual ip addy. See if you can access the site with them...HTH

I learned a whole lot about my 'puter over the last week... so something good came out of it...

Issues accessing TurboBuick.com

Here is how the web sites work:
You type in http://www.turboBuick.com in your browser

It then sends this information to a Domain Name Server (DNS) to get the TurboBuick web site IP address

If your ISP's DNS server has cashed this IP then the browser is sent back this information and you are sent to the TurboBuick web servers and you have established a connection to the site.

If this IP resolution data is not there or if the Time to Live (TTL) has expired then this request is sent to another DNS server one level up, this is determined by your ISP. This process keeps going until you reach a DNS server that has this information or knows where to send this request. Basically you keep going UP the food chain untill you hit a DNS server that has this information or you hit the (.) DNS server and you can't go any higher.

The DNS server that can resolve the Name-to-IP Address was upgraded and it takes time for this server to propegate the DNS information across the WORLD to other DNS servers. That is why some of you could get to the site through some ISPs and couldn't from others. This takes time and some ISPs DNS servers get this data faster than others or don't cache this data.

I hope this explains what was going on. If you have any questions please let me know.
