I have an Alkycontrol system I purchased back in 2008. Last spring the pump began leaking from the pressure switch and at the same time the LED would rapidly flash between red and green when in boost. The fix was to send the pump back to Julio for a seal replacement.

Now, anytime I get into boost, at 7-8 psi the light goes green, then at 12 psi the light rapidly flashes between red and green....until I hit 15 psi of boost. From 15 psi on up it stays solid red. I've checked the pump and it's not leaking anything. I've also not noticed any KR on the scanmaster.

What gives? Bad switch? Pump going south again?

Ok. Baby steps. Start engine, push test button. Led should show red and maybe go green.

The light goes a steady red when test button is pushed
Then it's goes red at 7-8 psi when it turns on. Not green like on the first post

It's supposed to go red then change to green

the green condition happens when the pressure in the pump hits at least 50 psi. If the pressure is approx 50 psi, then itis possible for the led to flip between red and green

Put the knob on 8 and retest the system.

Yes, on 8 it flickers as well, except it does it between 10 and 12 psi of boost. Past 12 the LED stays steady.

Sounds like the pressure switch is "bouncing". Diaphram pumps pulse the liquid. So if the pressure was set to 50 PSI.. and the pump is pulsing 45-55 PSI pressure.. or 40-60.. the led will flicker.

The simple fix.. go to the pump and turn the allen adjustment screw inward 1/2 turn. That raises the pressure point and adds tension to the spring inside the switch.

As long as it goes green when you mat the pedal.. that is all that matters.
