alright another balancing act What balance percentage do you guys run with steel crank and bhj balancer?

Anything bewtween 36.6% and 50% will work fine. It's a trade off between horizontal and vertical imbalance. I'd suggest you go with whatever percentage will require least weight removed or added to the crank to achieve the final balance. FWIW 50% works best with solid motor mounts.
