I want to thank Lee and Donnie for their help at the track last night. This was my first time out this year. I added ported heads, CO2 turbo action air shifter and some wiring mods and a rebuild of the engine. I had many minor issues (no transbrake first run, no line lock in the pits before first run and a leaking pressure relief valve on the shifter regulator, residual oil on the wrap of the cross over pipe creating a nice smoke screen).
At 25#'s of boost, 21 degrees of timing and a soft 1.5 60 foot it ran a 6.25@118mph. It was very nice to keep both hands on the wheel and not have to shift because the track was very slippery toward the finish line. If I closed my eyes I would have thought I was at LACR.

NOOOO! I was in El Cajon last night right off the 8, I am never down there but this kid was selling a part I needed for dirt cheap, so it was worth the 120 mile drive for me in the prius. Post up before you go not after you come home. Dam a 6.25 is FLYING, very nice Jeff. Your launches are sweet, I want to be able to call a 1.5 soft haha. Dang missed Lee and Wang too arg! Good thing it wasn't LACR I never enjoy seeing dust clouds and tumble weeds blow accross track heh.

peace

it was a secret test and tune, LOL

you shoulda heard Donnies car, almost 8000rpm !!!!!!!!!!!!!
well the converters loose!!!!!!
he ran out of rpm in the 1/8 mile!!!!!!:eek: he did run some 6.40's@116
wait til the converters sorted out!

Jeff's car was sweet! so smooth, didn;t look that exciting until you watched him dancing down the track, still at low boost levels too !
I was inthe stand for last runs by both guys, locals knew Donnie, and were all keyed up to watch, heard couple guys comment how quick Donnies car is,
then Jeff came up and the locals were "whose this?" again didn;t look like it was fast, but when 6.25 popped up, I heard "holt sh!t, that didn;t look that fast, !!!!!! I walked away smiling, yea, you just seen "fast with class" :D

On the last run, I think the diode went bye bye in the torque converter. I was lucky to get the car back to, and into the trailer.

Good to see you make it, Jeff. I hope you got some kinks ironed out.
